Bike related Q & A

What should I bring?

You will need a bike in good working order along with an Australian Standards approved Helmet. We also recommend bringing water, a light snack and some money for the coffee stop.

What should I wear?

Ideally you should have comfortable, loose fitting cloths, we find light layers work best so that you can quickly adjust to the weather and level of activity during the course. Closed shoes are also required. If you have cycle gloves these are a great idea for comfort. No need for lycra if you don’t have it as these are relaxed, enjoyable sessions. Don’t forget your sunscreen as well.

Will we finish were the course begins?

In all cases we return to the start place so if you have to drive to begin the session not a problem. Of course if you have riden and wish to leave the ride along the way for any reason you are free to do so.

Is Domestique Insured

Yes. We have public liability insurance provider for all teachers through AustCycle.

Is there handouts and local bike info?

Yes. We provide, where possible, local maps of bike paths and suggested routes. We also have different printed materials that you get to take home with you on the day.
